Whale Watching Cruise and
Salmon Dinner at Orca Point Lodge

Wednesday, September 23, 2020

One of the highlights of this year’s convention is an optional Whale Watching Cruise with a Salmon Bake dinner at Orca Point Lodge. The cost is $75 per person which includes a 2½ hour Whale/Wildlife watching cruise and a delicious salmon buffet dinner at the lodge on Colt Island.  Sign up early! This adventure is limited to the first 120 people. (Note: Optional event ticket cost is separate and not included in your convention registration fee)

Transportation to Don Statter Boat Harbor in Auke Bay will leave Centennial Hall Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:15 pm. The catamaran will depart Auke Bay Harbor at 3:00 pm for a 2½ hour cruise, arriving at Orca Point Lodge at 5:30 pm.

The cruise departs Orca Point Lodge at 6:30 pm, arriving back at the harbor at 7:00 pm where transportation to downtown Juneau awaits.

If travelling through or from Anchorage by air on Wednesday, September 23rd and want to participate in the cruise, plan to arrive in Juneau on Alaska Flight 62 at the latest, which departs Anchorage at 7:50 am and arrives in Juneau at 9:25 am.  This allows plenty of time to get situated and registered for the convention.

Check airline and ferry schedules if traveling from Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg or Sitka. Plan to board transportation to Auke Bay at 2:15 pm at Centennial Hall.
